From all of us at Tonhain Kollektiv, we wish you a very happy new year! Tickets are quickly selling out for our first Carte Blanche concert of the year, which will take place on 16 January 2026 at 19:00 at Tonhain. We will be joined by an exciting new ensemble from Paris - the M Sphère collective - for a program of Brahms and Mozart’s masterful clarinet quintets, alongside a meditation-inspired new clarinet quintet titled “Here and Now” by GRAMMY-nominated Irish composer Emma O’Halloran.

Joe Christophe

In 2019, clarinetist Joë Christophe won the 1st Prize as well as 6 special prizes at the highly prestigious ARD competition in Munich, launching his career as a soloist to an international stage. As a soloist with major orchestras, including DSO Berlin, SWR Stuttgart, München Rundfunkorchester and Kammerorchester, and Philharmonie Dessau, and as a chamber musician at numerous festivals, his career has taken him to the most prestigious concert halls throughout the world. Miclen LaiPang

Violinist Miclen LaiPang is quickly gaining recognition as one of the most captivating and versatile violinists of his generation, celebrated for his dynamic leadership and work as a soloist, chamber musician, and concertmaster. Praised by The New York Times as “a force to be reckoned with” and described by Germany’s Die Welt as “a musician of daring virtuosity with noble elegance,” he has performed at leading venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Vienna Musikverein, Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and Berlin Philharmonie. Arianna Smith

Recognized for her captivating spirit, violist Arianna Smith has emerged as a vibrant young artist at prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, Symphony Center and Harris Theater in Chicago, as well as the Chicago Cultural Center in a live broadcast from the Preston Bradley Hall on the National Public Radio (NPR). After several years on the American stage, she moved to France to continue her musical evolution and has since been invited to perform at the Philharmonie de Paris, the Paris National Opera, Salle Gaveau, Salle Cortot, the studio 104 from Radio France and the Flagey and Bozar in Brussels.
