Our first Carte Blanche on January 16, 2026 at 7pm marks a special collaboration: we welcome M Sphère, a French collective inspired by Tonhain Kollektiv’s concept. They are our dear friends, and have developed their own interdisciplinary concert series in Paris. Now, our two groups meet on stage for the first time in Berlin. The program explores three clarinet quintets representing a wide variety of styles, from Mozart and Brahms’s celebrated clarinet quintets to leading contemporary Irish composer Emma O’Halloran’s meditative Here and Now.
The artists will be Miclen LaiPang – violin, Luke Hsu – violin, Arianna Smith – viola, Yehjin Chun - cello, Benjamin Lai – cello, and Joë Christophe – clarinet.
Our Carte Blanche on April 2, 2026 offers an intimate glimpse into the program that cellist und Tonhain Kollektiv founding member Rainer Crosett will perform at his April 2026 Carnegie Hall recital debut. Together with internationally celebrated pianist Victor Santiago Asunción, they will explore repertoire ranging from Ludwig van Beethoven: 7 Variations on “Bei Männern, welche Liebe fühlen” from Mozart’s The Magic Flute, to the lush romanticism of César Franck’s Sonata in A Major, Shostakovich’s brooding Cello Sonata, and Ligeti’s electrifying Sonata for Solo Cello.
